This course studies the ethical dimension of problems in the urbanenvironment as these intersect philosophical concepts of freedom,identity, justice, and the good life. Students will explore, evaluate, andapply ethical theories to public policy debates of relevance to racial, class,and gender inequalities. Students will evaluate proposed solutions tothese inequalities in terms of how well they contribute to flourishingrelationships between people and sustainable relationships with the worldat large.
