Description

This course analyzes the various cultural, historical, ethnic, class and artistic dimensions of New York in feature films, such as Musketeers of Pig Alley, Hester Street and Do the Right Thing, as well as in selected documentary and experimental films. The course also situates New York City within the corporate production and exhibition histories of American film.
