Description
This course examines political and/or protest art as expressed in literature, song, drama, and other arts. Issues in New York that stirred or are stirring artistic responses will be given special emphasis. Activities will include visits to museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the Museum of Modern Art, to galleries in Greenwich Village or Soho, to Ellis Island, to Broadway and off-Broadway productions and to individual communities.CUNY Pathways: Flexible Core-Creative Expression
