Description
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of producing audio stories for broadcast and podcast. Students will be exposed to best practices in audio reporting, newswriting, storytelling, producing and presenting. There will be practical training and exercises in interviewing, writing for the ear, voicing, the effective use of sound, and the basics of editing. The course also gives an overview of broadcast news business models, ethical issues, and today’s challenges.
