The Business of Photography

This course introduces the students to the day-to-day operations and business practices of the photographic industry. The professional responsibilities of photographers and photographers' assistants will be explored in detail. Professional correspondence, commercial self-promotion, portfolio preparation, and resume development will be covered. Students will develop a practical plan to achieve their professional goals and learn to manage the business and legal aspects of a photographic practice.
