Catalog Description
This course is an introduction to fundamental concepts of the science and management of soils in agricultural and non-agricultural systems. The physical, chemical, and biological properties of soils and the relationship between soil with plant health will be examined in lecture sessions. The laboratory will focus on soil genesis, classification, and morphology, along with soil chemistry as it relates to soil fertility and nutrient management.
