Description
This course introduces students to the duties and responsibilities of a Recreational Therapy Assistant within a LTC/Rehab facility under the on-site supervision of the facility's Recreational Therapy Director and the fieldwork instructor. Students, through observation and no direct patient care, will learn a variety of ways to engage patients in activities. The therapeutic value of interventions and the assessment of activity preferences, interests, and abilities will be explored.
