Description
This course provides an introduction to urban sociology, the study of how group life impacts and is impacted by cities. It covers the origin and growth of cities around the world and the social factors that lead to changes in cities, such as immigration and job opportunities. This course examines how city life affects class, race, ethnicity, gender, culture, neighborhoods and communities.
