This course examines the principles of gait, locomotion and balance throughout the lifespan and patient/client with various physical disabilities. Topics include: normal gait cycle, common deviations, data collection techniques, emergency response strategies, and the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). Students examine orthotic and prosthetic management, patient education, clinical documentation, and outcome monitoring to support therapeutic interventions.
