Mobility Skills in Physical Therapy

Functional training such as bed and mat mobility skills, including body mechanics, wheelchair prescription and management, transfer skills will be introduced. Studentwill explore issues related to safety in negotiating architectural barriers as theyaffect the patient/client across the lifespan in the home, community, and workenvironment. Principles of therapeutic massage and various techniques for specific clinical applications are introduced.
