Introductory Nutrition
Catalog Description
This course integrates the science of nutrition with the physical and life sciences such as chemistry, biology, and anatomy and physiology. The physical and chemical properties of nutrients are examined as well as their physiological functions; the effects of deficiencies and excesses; and food sources. Factors that influence food selection and accessibility are addressed.
