Introduction to Hospitality Management

This course is an overview of the hospitality industry. It explores the organizational structures, products, and services of industry suppliers, such as transportation companies, attractions, hotels, and of marketing organizations, such as travel agencies and destination marketing organizations. Students are introduced to basic hospitality terminology, management practices, and career paths. The course also traces the evolution of the industry and explores its role in contemporary life.
