Description
This course provides an introduction to the biology of plants. The structure of plants is emphasized, as well as the importance of plants to all life on Earth. Different levels of plant structure and function, from cells to ecosystems, are discussed. Through laboratory exercises, demonstrations, and field visits students explore topics related to the growth, development, reproduction, evolution, ecological interactions, diversity, and human uses of plants.
