Description

This capstone course will provide an overview of the principles and practices of therapeutic recreation services in long term care settings, with emphasis on the aging population and the role of the therapeutic recreation professional in client assessments. The design of appropriate programs to address the social, emotional, physical and healthcare needs of the elderly and improved quality of life will be explored. Application of programs will be performed through role playing assignments.
