Description

This course examines older adults as a diverse population group within American society through the interdisciplinary perspective of social gerontology (e.g., anthropology, biology, health, political science, psychology and sociology. Older adults will be examined as a socio-political group in the United States. The individual, familial, cultural and social aspects of aging and the aging process will be considered through required readings and written assignments.
