Latin American Fiction in Translation
Catalog Description
This course explores the thematic and stylistic variety of contemporary Latin American fiction in English translation. Students will explore the themes of dictatorship, struggle with nature, the plight of natives, mestizaje, social and political unrest and alienation through the analysis of representative stories,novellas and novels.
